Welcome to Love in Tableware—where every meal begins with artistry.
Nousaku: Crafting Tradition into Timeless Metalwork
Founded in 1916 in Takaoka City, Japan—a region renowned for its 400-year-old metalworking heritage—Nousaku began by producing Buddhist ritual objects, tea utensils, and flower vases from brass and bronze. Over the years, the company has honored traditional casting techniques while embracing innovation. In 2002, under the leadership of fourth-generation president Katsuji Nousaku, the brand introduced its first original product: a brass bell that evolved into a popular wind chime, marking the start of their branded items. By 2003, Nousaku pioneered the creation of 100% pure tin tableware, highlighting the metal's unique malleability. Today, their diverse range includes tableware, interior decor, and art pieces, all reflecting a commitment to craftsmanship and quality. Visitors to their modern factory can witness these artisans at work, participate in hands-on workshops, and explore the rich legacy that defines Nousaku's enduring appeal.

90% of copperware are casted in this city such as giant temple bells and bronze statues, and the copperware made in this city is called “Takaoka Doki” and it is assigned as a traditional craft in Japan.

What I Appreciate About Nousaku
There’s a quiet elegance in Nousaku’s craftsmanship that I truly admire. The way they honor centuries-old metalworking traditions while creating modern, functional pieces is something special. Their use of pure tin is particularly fascinating—it’s not just beautiful but also surprisingly soft and versatile, making each piece feel alive in your hands.
I love how Nousaku’s designs blend artistry with everyday use. Whether it’s their delicate wind chimes, sculptural tableware, or intricate home décor, each item carries a sense of warmth and refinement. There’s a thoughtfulness in their work that makes even the simplest piece feel meaningful—an object not just to admire, but to experience.
